If you and your loved ones have never dealt with Lyme disease, consider yourselves fortunate. For so many of our clients, it is an affliction that robs them entirely of their energy. Their physical and emotional health can be impacted for years. A diagnosis of Lyme disease from a doctor is quickly followed by a prescription for antibiotics.
As we now know, however, antibiotics are often unsuccessful in eradicating the significant and debilitating symptoms. For those of us who are unable to restore our health with medication, alternative therapies can help.
Lyme disease is spread by the deer tick (or black-legged tick). The majority of these ticks are found in the Northeast, although there is a statistically significant number of cases in both California and Florida. People affected by Lyme disease can be found in all 50 states.
The deer tick carries a number of harmful bacteria, including the one that causes Lyme, Borrelia burgdorferi. When a tick bites a human, it can take anywhere from a couple of days to a month for Borrelia burgdorferi symptoms to appear.
The majority of patients feel much better after the standard course of doxycycline, amoxicillin, or cefuroxime, particularly if their Lyme disease diagnosis comes quickly after they are bitten by a tick. If the antibiotics are administered while the bacteria is still living primarily in the blood, there is hope. But once the bacteria start to invade the non-blood areas of the body (nerve sheath, cartilage and tendons, brain, and bone, for example), the antibiotics cannot reach them.
This is why an estimated 20 percent or more do not improve, and continue to deal with significant fatigue, brain fog and joint pain, among other symptoms. These are the sufferers of Post-Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome, or PTLDS.
A growing mountain of evidence points to biofilms as a potential culprit for PTLDS sufferers. A biofilm is a cluster of bacteria. These tiny pathogens clump up inside our bodies to protect themselves and fight the human immune system more effectively.
As a biofilm grows, it can hide more nasty bugs beneath its slimy surface, including the Lyme disease pathogen. Even more concerning are the studies that show that antibiotics can potentially strengthen biofilms, instead of eradicating bacteria as intended.
Think of biofilms as the protective blanket under which your disease can lurk for months until it is safe to emerge again, wracking you with pain. If this sounds familiar, read on for some of the most effective alternative treatments demonstrating results for long-term Lyme disease sufferers.
The Rife Machine: Invented in the 1930s by Royal Rife, the Rife Machine generates a frequency known as a “beam ray.” Its work is predicated on the belief that each type of bacteria resonates at a certain frequency. Aim the Rife Machine at the Lyme disease-causing bacteria you want to target, enabled with the correct frequency, and the bacteria is destroyed.
The Rife Machine is not FDA-approved for Lyme treatment, and is often used in addition to medication or other therapies. Lyme disease and PTLDS sufferers use Rife Machines for Lyme without significant side effects, and many note that use of the machine marks a turning point in their recovery process.
Vitamin D: Vitamin D is a wonderful way to boost immunity naturally, and it is hard to get your daily requirement for Vitamin D through food. Some medical conditions can cause a Vitamin D deficiency. Consider a supplement if getting enough sun the regular way is difficult for you.
B Vitamins: The B Vitamin family provides a number of benefits, including healthy skin, better metabolism, and even the synthesis and repair of DNA. B6 can be a powerful addition to your fight against Lyme disease because it helps to build red blood cells and process amino acids.
Turmeric: Another powerful anti-inflammatory, turmeric is now available in supplement and powder form, along with chewables, candies, and more. Because it fights inflammation through the compound curcumin, it can have powerful effects on the sufferers of Lyme disease. Pathogens are prevented from spreading further and pain and joint stiffness can be relieved.
Magnesium: Magnesium is a powerhouse that supports metabolism, muscle health and control, and can improve energy levels. People with Lyme disease have particular trouble maintaining good magnesium levels, and can benefit from supplements and/or transdermal sprays.
Probiotics: A healthy gut is a happy gut, and antibiotics can disrupt its balance. Restore that balance with the help of probiotics, which can also assist with overall recovery from Lyme disease.
Antibiotics are a terrific weapon, but they are not a cure-all. They are designed to kill bacteria or to prevent bacteria from multiplying, and therefore cannot fight against viruses. In a significant percentage of Lyme disease cases (estimated to be 20 percent or above), antibiotics do not eliminate the pathogen, and it returns to wreak havoc. Think of it like spraying your home for bugs. Some hide in the basement, returning once the house clears to reinfect and cause trouble all over again.
Long-term Lyme disease sufferers report crippling joint pain and inflammation. It’s not uncommon to hear of people with PTLDS having trouble walking or talking due to extreme brain fog. They cannot work, they cannot think, and the onset is sudden and terrifying.
There is a solution. Your own body can do the work necessary to reclaim a better quality of life. The ACT method from Gary Blier focuses on the immune system and our ability to train it to fight pathogens. Everyone has the capacity to eliminate pathogens from within when the body is performing correctly. You can think of yourself as a human Rife machine; when tuned properly, pathogens in both blood-rich and blood-scarce areas can be eliminated for good.
When a client first registers for ACT, they submit a comprehensive health survey that includes their history, and all of their symptoms and pain levels. Anyone familiar with Lyme disease knows that it manifests itself in the body differently for each person. That is why the Advanced Cell Training approach is customized. It is not a blanket solution, and each experience with Gary is different.
ACT classes are held remotely once a week with access available from anywhere in the world. Clients check in with Gary, and they then listen to training codes at the end of the call. Time to process and absorb the codes follows, along with 2-3 days of monitoring symptoms and tracking over-and-under responses and any Jarisch-Herxheimer reactions.
Progress reports are also submitted weekly, and all of this important information is compiled by Gary as he continues to adjust training codes and helps to teach your body to correct itself. For some, improvement is immediate. For others, time is needed to allow your body to do what drugs and doctors cannot—heal from the inside out.
You are not alone. A return to “normal” can be achieved with ACT’s help. Contact us today to discover a new path to wellness and an end to the suffering caused by Lyme disease.
