If you suffer from Lyme disease, you already know what we are about to tell you: A Lyme disease diagnosis is surprisingly complicated, and often comes with very few answers for the sufferer. Lyme disease is a difficult disease to live with. There are potentially hundreds, if not thousands, of people who have Lyme and don’t even know it.
Here are just a few of the reasons why a Lyme disease diagnosis is so difficult to obtain:
Lyme disease can amplify weaknesses that already exist within your body. In addition, a pathogen closely associated with Lyme—Bartonella henselae—can mutate. Each person is affected differently. All of these reasons also help to explain why so many people suffer from chronic Lyme disease.
Let’s go back to the beginning—when you started to feel sick and rundown. Perhaps you knew you had been bitten by a tick, or you just felt like something was off. What came next was a visit to the doctor and testing. There are a number of tests in existence, endorsed by either Western medicine or naturopathic/holistic doctors.
There are several standard tests, and a few non-traditional ones as well. All have their limitations, and some experts liken them to trying to find one car on a busy freeway.
Most doctors who suspect Lyme disease will run the ELISA test, but it is important to note that it can provide a false positive. It is designed to detect antibodies to B. burgdorferi, one type of bacteria that causes Lyme. It is often only the first step in the journey toward diagnosis.
The Western blot test usually comes as the second part of a two-step process, following a positive ELISA test. It detects antibodies to the proteins of B. burgdorferi.
In addition to these two standard tests, there are a few new tests being investigated as potentially helpful by naturopathic doctors.
The iSpot Lyme test is about five years old. This test measures “IFN-γ secretion from T-cells in response to four specific antigens on the surface of B. burgdorferi: Dbpa, OspC, p100, and VlsE-1.” It sounds promising, but it has only been evaluated in limited studies.
Lyme disease test results are often muddled because ticks can carry so many different diseases. Doctors are working on isolating the biomarkers specific to Lyme so that Lyme disease test results can become more accurate.
So far, the iSpot test and developments regarding biomarkers have not been accepted by Western medicine. To add to the confusion, a patient can go through every available Lyme test and still not end up with clear answers. An estimated 20-30 percent of people with Lyme, in fact, get negative antibody test results.
According to lymedisease.org, there are three reasons why this can happen. Either antibodies have not developed yet, the patient’s immune system is suppressed, or the strain of Lyme in question cannot be detected by the tests. They also provide a checklist of symptoms, since that is often the best way to diagnose Lyme disease or chronic Lyme disease.
The next step is to put the patient on oral antibiotics. If the antibiotics do not eradicate the Lyme disease-causing pathogens (which happens quite a lot), then Lyme turns into chronic Lyme disease. This means that the pathogens are continuing to multiply in your body with no opposing force to fight them off. They are also mutating unchecked.
Symptoms can then become more broad and more disruptive. It is not uncommon for ACT to work with clients who have a chronic Lyme diagnosis and can name dozens of escalating, extremely painful symptoms which prevent them from living normal lives.
We hear the phrase “chronic Lyme disease diagnosis” and we think that it means we will never be rid of Lyme. What it actually means, however, is that the doctors who diagnosed and treated you do not know how to get rid of your Lyme.
Since nothing else has worked for you so far, why would the Advanced Cell Training method be any different? ACT’s primary goal is to work to get our clients back to the quality of life they enjoyed prior to Lyme. We do this by getting our client’s own immune systems to neutralize any and all pathogens responsible for inflammation and symptoms. We find that if the body responds properly to pathogens, they can’t continue to cause symptoms. It is an all-natural, medication-free approach that has worked for thousands of people.
We begin by asking you to fill out some health forms detailing your symptoms and their severity. You can also join founder Gary Blier for a free Q&A session or for one of his weekly classes. You will be given proprietary codes for repetition several times a week.
The codes are designed to focus your brain on the areas of your body where the various Lyme pathogens are wreaking havoc. They help to teach the body to do two things: attack those Lyme microbes, and initiate self-healing.
In addition to the codes, Gary has been using applied kinesiology by proxy as part of his work for the last two decades. It provides a direct connection to the clients and provides him with instant responses on your body’s answers to questions about pain, healing, medications, and the path to optimal wellness. Finally, visualization and touch are two more powerful tools that serve to focus the mind and body properly as clients work remotely with ACT.
In so many ways, Lyme negatively impacts our lives and leaves us feeling debilitated and lost. That it is so tough to diagnose and treat only complicates the issue further, as do the various symptoms which can afflict us. Once it becomes chronic, we fear we have a lifelong condition to bear.
There is also controversy surrounding Lyme disease. Some doctors and insurance companies do not believe it actually exists. This, of course, can further complicate treatment.
ACT has worked for so many with chronic Lyme disease after they came to the conclusion that good health was lost to them forever. By facilitating powerful self-healing, our clients can – and do – tackle and eliminate symptoms one by one, restoring the ability to pursue a normal life.
If Lyme has left you feeling like you will never be healthy and happy again, we invite you to give the Advanced Cell Training method a try. We also encourage you to read some of our other materials on both Lyme and chronic Lyme disease.
